Choosing your holiday cottage can be a tricky process. Of course, you need to make sure the cottage is in an area you want to visit. There’s no point choosing a holiday cottage outside Glasgow, when one of your main priorities is to visit the mystical town of Glastonbury, 500 miles away. But what else should you look for in your holiday accommodation? Go for those “extras” the cottage can offer you; typically these are things you can’t get at home.
A few years a go holiday cottages had special extras like dishwashers; so what you may say, but only a few years a go these were considered luxury items, nowadays pretty much anybody who wants a dishwasher has one. So although holiday cottages still have them, you probably won’t see them in the list of facilities.
The most popular extra that a holiday cottage can offer at the moment is the hot tub. This is exactly the kind of thing you want from your holiday cottage, and typically we don’t have these at home. The hot tub generally sits in a secluded spot outside the cottage, and is great place to relax after a day spent exploring the local area.
Your hot tub will typically accommodate 4-8 people. The size of the hot tub will be dependant on the number of people the cottage can sleep. With water temperatures of around 40 degrees, you can relax is the water and feel those aches and pains drift away.
Cold, Snow, Rain – no weather can keep you out of your own spa. Just lay there, perfectly relaxed, with only your head peeping out of the top. Just you, your partner and a glass of chilled champagne on the side. There is no better way of spending those holiday nights, than soaking in your hot tub.
