My daughter and her friends are studying abroad for a semester and have been traveling through Europe – but were leary of heading to Morocco as they were not sure what to expect. I encouraged them to expand their horizons and told them that I would set up a few tours for them. After researching quite a bit, I decided to contact Zebra Adventures. I can’t emphasize enough what a pleasure it was to do business with them!! Every question I had was immediately answered and Youssef helped me set up several tours for the 11 college students based on their interests. To my surprise, Youssef offered to pick the students up at the airport, free of charge, and escort them to their hotel. I was thrilled when I received a message from my daughter stating that after her first day in Morocco she never wanted to leave! She described how their guide had met them at their hotel and had taken them on a tour that included so much more than she had expected – they were shown significant cultural and historical places as well as the markets. My daughter expressed again and again how much all of the students liked their guide and how helpful he was at explaining the Moroccan culture and how great he was about answering their questions regarding how to bargain at the markets or where to eat.
The second day the students headed out for a day trip to see a traditional bedouin village. Again, the students all expressed to me how much more the tour included than they expected. In one day they visited the village, went on a camel ride, hiked to the falls and had lunch with a family that shared products from their own farm with the students.
On the third day the students took a tour to Essuaria. Again, the students raved about the incredible beauty of the area, the delicious seafood meal they had there and the helpfulness of their guide.
All I can say is that all of the students who traveled to Morocco agreed that it was their favorite trip (and this from college students who had traveled to Munich (for Oktoberfest), Paris, Rome, Florence, Portugal, Ibiza, Dublin, Barcelona and Madrid!). All agreed that the tours provided by Zebra Adventures far, far far surpassed any of the school or other independent tours they had previously taken. I just want to encourage anyone who is thinking of visiting Morocco but wondering if they should…GO FOR IT!!! Contact Zebra Adventures – they will take good care of you! (and no – I do not have any connection with the company other than the incredible experience they gave to my daughter and her friends).
I am actually so impressed with the service provided by Zebra Adventures that I am now working to get my daughter’s university to add Morocco to their travel program.
